What could have changed one Roy City Council member's mind on tax increase?
ROY – The standing-room only crowd at the Roy Municipal Center had dissipated quite a bit before the final vote on a proposed property tax rate increase even took place Tuesday. After a nearly four-hour truth-in-taxation hearing, the council voted 4-1 in favor of an approximate 34.25% property tax rate increase, amounting to $1,749,050 in property tax revenue.
