Sammy Brue's new band, Brue, is in concert this Thursday night, Oct. 14, 2021, at The Monarch.

Thursday night at The Monarch is a rare concert with Sammy Brue and his new band, Brue. This is a not-to-be-missed show with new punk-style music by Brue and support from popular Salt Lake City bands Imag!nary Friendz and future.exboyfriend. Sammy Brue, an Ogden native and nationally recognized folk artist who just returned from a monthlong tour with Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac, hasn’t played in Ogden for a couple of years and may not be in concert here again any time soon. Now is the time! This is an all-ages show and there will be a beer garden with local craft brews and hard seltzers for the 21-plus crowd. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online or at the door.

Thursday, 6:30 p.m.; The Monarch, 455 25th St.; $15; https://bit.ly/2Yj2Vvy.

Hot Club of San Francisco

The Onstage Ogden Downtown Series continues on Friday night, this time celebrating the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli’s pioneering Quintette du Hot Club de France with this ensemble of accomplished and versatile musicians. The Hot Club of San Francisco, according to the event description, “borrows the instrumentation of violin, bass, and guitars from the original Hot Club while breathing new life into the music with innovative arrangements of classic tunes and original compositions from the group’s superb lead guitarist, Paul Mehling. Also featuring the silken violin of twice GRAMMY Award-winning Evan Price, the velvet vocals of Isabelle Fontaine, and a swinging rhythm section, the group never fails to surprise and delight.” Tickets can be purchased at onstageogden.org.

Friday, 7:30 p.m.; The Monarch, 455 25th St.; $25/$10 children; onstageogden.org.
