Ogden’s First Friday Art Stroll this month lands on April Fool’s Day — but the Ogden arts scene is no joke. This spring stroll will be one of the biggest the city has seen since before the pandemic.

Art galleries, businesses, events venues, coffee shops and more are blooming this Friday night with new art exhibits, live music and celebrations at various locations all over town. A Community Art Show at Ogden Union Station showcases over 30 youth artists, and art exhibits abound on Historic 25th Street from Grounds for Coffee, to Gallery 25 and Wasatch Coffee. Be sure to stop into Open Studio Night at The Monarch for the Awesome Autistic Ogden Art Exhibit, a new video installation at OCA Arts Garage and free live music with “Van Sessions.” The Local Artisan Collective at The Junction will be busy with classes and demos, and the budding Emmisoure Gallery on Washington Boulevard has a special exhibit. The Eccles Art Center hosts an exhibit opening for the Frame Your Pet Competition, and it’s worth the short drive over to Shaw Gallery at Weber State University for the closing of “All Together, Amongst Many: Reflections on Empathy” exhibit in addition to the audio project “A Counting: Ogden” by Ekene Ijeoma.

The art stroll is hosted by Ogden City Arts on the first Friday of every month to support arts organizations and independent artists and “enrich the lives of Ogden residents and visitors by ensuring access to visual, performing, and literary arts and arts education.”

This month, it is scheduled for 6-9 p.m. Friday in various locations all over Ogden.
