OGDEN — The first Friday of February is upon us, which means Ogden’s First Friday Art Stroll will be taking place.

Put on your shoes and prepare for art, music and more at various locales scattered around the city’s central core. The art stroll goes from 6-9 p.m. on Friday.

The City of Ogden helps organize the monthly event, held at numerous galleries, eateries and other places. Though many art stroll destinations are on Historic 25th Street, it’s not the only place. There will be activities at Union Station, The Monarch, Eccles Art Center and other spots. For more information, go to ogdencity.com/771/Current-Stroll-Information.

Among the featured events this Friday will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6 p.m. for the Ogden Ar(t)chives Mailbox, a project of Angelika Brewer, Ogden’s poet laureate, that will serve as a receptacle for creative submissions from the public. That will take place outside The Corner, the small shop at the southwest corner of 25th Street and Washington Boulevard.

Also watch for oversized hearts, on display around the city for the month of February as part of the YCC Family Crisis Center’s annual awareness and fundraising campaign. YCC helps people impacted by domestic and sexual violence.

Art stroll maps will be available at The Corner.
