‘Doctor Zhivago’ among local film screenings

• “Doctor Zhivago” (1965, PG-13) 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28. During the Russian Revolution, a young doctor falls in love with a beautiful girl, yet marries another; years later, love is rekindled when he meets his first love. • “McFarland USA” (2015, PG) 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29. A new track coach in a predominantly Latino high school in California transforms a team of athletes into championship contenders. Based on a true story, this inspirational sports drama screens at the main library, 2464 Jefferson Ave., Ogden.

• “Disneynature: Bears” (2014, G) 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29. A mother grizzly bear nurtures her cubs in the coastal mountain ranges of Alaska, as they encounter love, joy and the challenges of survival. You can enjoy this movie that showcases a year in the life of a bear family at the Ogden Valley branch, 131 S. 7400 East, Huntsville.

• “Labyrinth” (1986, PG) 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29. A young girl unintentionally wishes her baby half-brother away to a goblin, who plans to keep the child if the girl does not complete his Labyrinth in 13 hours. Directed by the late puppeteer Jim Henson and executive produced by George Lucas, you can watch this musical-adventure-fantasy film at the Pleasant Valley branch.
