Some progress made on Broad Fire in Weber Canyon, but officials urge caution

The Broad Fire in Weber Canyon has burned an estimated 40 acres through Saturday evening and firefighters are continuing the battle while Interstate 84 remains completely closed in both directions through the canyon. U.S. Forest Service Public Information Officer Sierra Hellstrom told the Standard-Examiner that, as of 7:30 p.m. Saturday, firefighters are getting a handle on some parts of the fire, though containment remains at 0%.
