1. 2026 Annual Bison Roundup Watch Party
Antelope Island State Park, Syracuse, Oct. 24, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
It’s an annual tradition to gather to see the roundup of our shaggy neighbors out at Antelope Island State Park. The park website says: “Hosted each year at Antelope Island State Park, the Bison Roundup is a primary tool utilized to help ensure the continued health of one of the nation’s largest and oldest public bison herds. To help people better understand how the bison herd is managed, you can visit Antelope Island State Park the day of the event and experience it first-hand. Registration is not required for the viewing public. Come witness a true Western experience as hundreds of horseback riders round up nearly 800 bison from around the Island and move them north into the holding corrals.”

2. Ghost Hunting 101
Brigham City Library, Oct. 21, 7-8:30 p.m.
Many cities and organizations are celebrating the Halloween season with a variety of spooky and pumpkin-themed events. In Brigham City, for example, you can sign up to learn about ghost hunting. The city website says: “Advanced Paranormal Services returns for another evening filled with all things spooky. Join Utah’s own Advanced Paranormal Services as they share what it takes to be a ghost hunter, as well as some of their spooky experiences investigating the paranormal.” The city also has a Pumpkin Float and Trunk-or-Treat that day. You can find other pumpkin events in Ogden, West Haven, Clearfield, Syracuse, Huntsville and Tremonton.

3. Dinos in the Dark
