1. Eden Balloon Festival

Eden Park, Sept. 26, all day

Who doesn’t love watching hot air balloons drift through the fall sky? Come check out the Eden Balloon Festival. The event notice on VisitOgden.com says: “Come to Eden Park on Saturday, September 26, for a full day of balloons, music, food and community fun at the Third Annual Eden Balloon Festival. Ogden Valley is once again preparing to be painted with vibrant colors as hot air balloons rise against the backdrop of the Wasatch Mountains bringing the community together for a day filled with wonder, tradition, and small-town charm. Last year’s festival, which drew families, neighbors, and balloon enthusiasts alike, proved that the spirit of ballooning in the valley is alive and well. What began as a grassroots effort by a handful of local Valley residents has quickly grown into a beloved tradition. Organizers say the momentum from last year’s event inspired them to dream bigger, while still keeping the festival rooted in its original vision–community first.”

2. NuHope Suicide Awareness Walk 2026

Ogden Amphitheatre, Sept. 19, 11 a.m.-noon

Suicide is a devastating epidemic throughout the nation, requiring everyone to come together to work to support each other. One way to do so is participate in events like the Suicide Awareness Walk. The organization website says: “Please join us for the 2026 Northern Utah Suicide Awareness Walk. Whether you are remembering or supporting a loved one, recovering from hard times yourself, or a supporter of the cause, we would be honored to have you participate in this memorable event. Our annual walk in downtown Ogden will be held in conjunction with the Harvest Moon Celebration on Historic 25th Street, and you are encouraged to stay after the walk to participate in those festivities.”

3. Bags of Hope Tossin for the Lantern House
