Ogden has a rich history and amazing architecture, but without knowledge, collaboration and effort much of it could get lost. That’s why preservation is important — so important that the city is hosting the Preservation Engaged conference. The event website says: “Preservation Engaged: Celebrating Utah’s Communities is back for 2026! Preservation Engaged will be in Ogden at the historic Ogden High School. The Utah State Historic Preservation Office hosts this conference in collaboration with Preservation Utah to bring you speakers and workshops on the topics of Historic Preservation, Main Street and Preservation Planning, and Cultural Resources. We hope you’ll join us for an engaging day of informative sessions, panel discussions, and more.”

Summer is time for great music at the Kenley Amphitheater and things are getting going on June 7 with a free concert. The amphitheater website describes the band by saying: “Slim Chance & his Psychobilly Playboys are a music group based in Salt Lake City, Utah known for their lively performances and blend of musical styles. Their music incorporates elements of Western Swing, Rockabilly, Southern Rock, and Rock & Roll, which they describe as ‘Western Rock.'”
