Weber County League of Women Voters announces series of candidate forums

It’s the public’s chance to meet their local candidates in several Weber County races.

Last week, the Weber County League of Women Voters announced in an email that it will be hosting a number of forums featuring local candidates throughout the month of July.

Terri McCulloch, president of the Weber County League of Women Voters, said the format will be the same as in past years and that plans are to livestream on the group’s Facebook page.

She said additional dates for later in July will be released soon but didn’t elaborate on which municipalities would be features.

According to the email, the following forums have been set:

Ogden Valley

  • Mayor — Tuesday, 6-7 p.m., Ogden Valley Library bowery
  • City Council District 3 — Tuesday, 7:45-9 p.m., Ogden Valley Library bowery
  • City Council District 4 and 5 — Wednesday, 6-7:15 p.m., Ogden Valley Library auditorium
  • City Council District 1 and 2 — Wednesday, 7:30-8:45 p.m., Ogden Valley Library auditorium

Ogden City

  • City Council Seat 1 and At Large A — Thursday, 6-7:15 p.m., Main Library, 2464 Jefferson Ave.
  • City Council Seat 3 and At Large B — Thursday, 7:30-8:45 p.m., Main Library, 2464 Jefferson Ave.

North Ogden

  • Mayor — July 15, 6-7:15 p.m., North Ogden Public Safety Building
  • City Council — July 15, 7:30-8:45 p.m., North Ogden Public Safety Building

Hooper

  • City Council — July 16, 6:30-8 p.m., Hooper City Building

Roy

  • City Council two-year seat — July 17, 6-7:15 p.m., Pleasant Valley Library on Adams Avenue
  • City Council four-year seat — July 17, 7:30-8:45 p.m., Pleasant Valley Library on Adams Avenue
