LAYTON — The very best entities of Davis County in 2026 are getting their time in the spotlight.
On Friday, the Davis Chamber of Commerce teamed up with the Ogden Standard-Examiner to present the 2026 Best of Davis County Awards Celebration at the Young Automotive Group Gallery in Layton. This marked the second year the Standard-Examiner and the Davis Chamber of Commerce have come together to recognize the top businesses and services across Davis County.
Davis Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Angie Osguthorpe told the Standard-Examiner that each entity works in tandem to make the celebration a reality.
“We’re excited to have our second annual Best of Davis County Awards Celebration,” she said. “We partner with the Standard-Examiner on this event. They do the voting with the Reader’s Choice and we take care of the celebration portion of the awards banquet.”
She said the event grew immensely from last year, attracting more than 350 people this year.

“We’re represented by lots of companies, lots of businesses in Davis County and lots of great organizations,” she said.
While the Davis Chamber and Standard-Examiner award first, second and third in each category, the 63 first-place winners were recognized with gold medallion awards by SymbolArts at Friday’s event. Awards were given for several categories, ranging from Best Hospital (Intermountain Layton Hospital) to Best Davis County Charity (Best Davis County Charity). In addition to the awards ceremony, attendees were provided a breakfast and entertainment throughout the morning.
Osguthorpe said that the highlight of these awards is who gets to make a decision on the winners.
“The nice thing about this award is that the actual community votes on this,” she said. “Each company will be nominated and then they get voted on by the community. It’s a community award, which is really fun, and then it recognizes their dedication, their entrepreneurship and their quality of company.”
She said it was a very exciting morning.
