Tutulli Ballet Folklorico is one of eight performers that will be featured at the 12th annual Living Heritage Festival at Ogden Union Station on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

OGDEN — Ogden Union Station is quickly preparing for a celebration of music, dancing and culture.

The 12th annual Living Heritage Festival is set to return to Ogden Union Station on Saturday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Hope Eggett, museum administrator for the Museums at Union Station, told the Standard-Examiner on Monday that the annual festival celebrates the people and cultures that make Ogden unique.

“The festival is a larger cultural celebration about Ogden’s history, the people who have made Ogden into what it is today,” she said. “We’re celebrating that with food, dance, music and art from our community.”

She said performances will run throughout the day, food trucks will be on site and the Museums at Union Station will be free for the public to explore throughout the festival.

This year’s lineup of performers includes:

  • “11 a.m.: Uintah Elementary Students presenting music, dance, and Kung Fu
  • 11:30 a.m.: Highland Peaks Dance Studio, with traditional dance of the Scottish Highlands
  • 12:45 p.m.: Tutulli Ballet Folklorico, Ogden’s own community Mexican folk dance for people of all ages
  • 2 p.m.: Native Generations, presenting dance, song, and performance representing various Tribal Nations across North America
  • 3:15 p.m.: Tlecoatl Aztec Dancers, performing traditional Aztec dance
  • 4:30 p.m.: Ballet Folklorico Newara, performing traditional Mexican folk dance
  • 5:45 p.m.: Divya School of Dance, presenting Indian classical, Bollywood, and folk dance
  • 7 p.m.: Ogden New Hope Family, with traditional cultural dance performances from the Marshall Islands”

Eggett said some of the performers this year are new to the Living Heritage Festival or are returning for the first time in a while.

“One of the things I’m really excited about this year is we have eight live music and dance performances this year and two of them are newer groups to us,” she said. “One of them is Ballet Folklorico Newara, returning for the first time since before COVID to perform. … One of the other new groups we’ve invited this year is the Ogden New Hope Family, and they’re going to be showcasing a traditional dance from the Marshall Islands this year.”

She said the festival takes on some additional importance in 2026.

“With America’s 250th anniversary, we’re also excited to be celebrating what makes Ogden unique — the dance, the music, the food, the history,” she said. “I think it’s only fitting that here in our community, we are celebrating the people and traditions that make our community home.”

Starting at $4.32/week.
