That is exactly what the Transparency Table information session and dinner — presented by the Women’s Work Utah and Weber County League of Women Voters — on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at the Union Grill from 6-8 p.m. is aiming to explore.

Terri McCulloch, president of the Weber County League of Women Voters, told the Standard-Examiner that guests will have an opportunity to meet and interact with Utah State Auditor Tina Cannon for an evening geared at making some of the state’s inner-workings a little bit clearer.

“It’s a dinner, and she is going to talk about some of the audits that she has conducted and what the results were and how important transparency is for the public,” McCulloch said.

The event’s description notes that Cannon will discuss accountability and transparency within her department and within state government.

The Transparency Table is open to the public and spots are still available. She said that around 70 people have signed up for the event so far and that there are 100 spots available in total.
