Weber County archery range at Observatory Park opens for new season
OGDEN — Weber County’s new outdoor archery range has opened for its second season.
The range reopened in early April, and Jeff Spencer, who serves on a Weber County committee that has helped move the plans forward, invites the public to visit. It’s open daylight hours and is located in Observatory Park in west Ogden, with the range entry off F Avenue on the west side of the facility.
Around 15 archery stations with 20 different targets are located at the range, which opened July last year. It costs patrons $5 to use, payable at pay boxes around the facility.
Plans are afoot to improve road access to the range and build an indoor archery facility on park grounds. The county will soon seek bids for the work, according to Spencer.
