This Monday Memories installment focuses on photos by Brigham City’s Compton Studio.

They say fine equipment doesn’t compensate for technique in the world of photography. Check out these images for yourself.

For the sake of nostalgia, we are looking into the Standard-Examiner archives for photos and memories of how much simpler (or harder) life used to be. Each Monday you will see an installment of a time machine of photos from the good old days.

Every new week will bring a photo gallery either from our archive or submitted from readers throughout the community of local photos that meant the most to the Top of Utah in the 1900s and earlier.

Do you have local photos from the 1900s to share? Send an e-mail to visuals@standard.net with the subject titled “Monday Memories,” and we may use it in an upcoming installment.
