The Wildcat cheer team, coached by Summer Willis, competed on Friday and scored a 97.97 to claim the Division I Coed Cheer national title for the second year in a row.
The dance team, coached by Michelle Falk and coming off a national championship last year as well, won the Division I Hip-Hop national trophy Saturday with a 9.637 score.
Earning the top spot by a point, Waldo the mascot scored 58.73 and outranked teams from NC State, Missouri, Iowa State, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, New Mexico State and more. The last time Waldo earned a national title was in 2015.
