OGDEN — A woman killed in an apparent accidental shooting Saturday has been identified as an Ogden teacher.
Ogden School District spokesperson Jer Bates said Monday that Jaycee Gray Trivino was a Highland Middle School art and ceramics teacher. Police are investigating the shooting, which occurred at about 1 a.m. in the 3100 block of Adams Avenue.
“It appears accidental at this time,” Lt. William Farr, Ogden Police Department spokesperson, said Monday. “It is an ongoing investigation.” Further details were not released because of the investigation.
Bates said school administrators over the weekend notified faculty and staff of the death. Students were told Monday morning and made aware that grief counselors were in the building to help as needed.
