Weber Human Services is looking for people who can help Northern Utah nonprofits. For more information on volunteer opportunities or to post an opportunity for your organization, call 801-625-3777 or 801-778-6897.

If you are interested in volunteering and do not see what interests you please call us as we have many more opportunities available and will help you find what interests you and best uses your skills. If your organization is in need of volunteers, please give us a call.

  • Onstage Ogden is looking for volunteers to help usher at concerts, staff our info and kids craft booths at summer festivals and markets, and set up for our golf tournament. Shifts last three to five hours and most work is outside under a tent, sitting down. Volunteers are recruited via email.
  • Catholic Community Services has volunteering opportunities in the food pantry: setting up, distributing groceries to clients, stocking shelves, cleaning up and assisting with other daily projects, Tuesday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Looking to put a little extra money in your pocket? The Senior Companion Program is looking for individuals 55 and older who are living on moderate to low income to serve as companions and friends to homebound individuals in the community. Mileage, training and a small monthly stipend are available. On SSDI? Don’t worry, the stipend does not affect your benefits!
  • AARP Virtual Trivia volunteer needed to help facilitate Fun & Fulfillment virtual trivia games on Thursday nights. If any AARP volunteers are looking for opportunities to participate in a fun and engaging program on a recurring basis, contact us for more information.
  • If you love animals, you will love volunteering at the Safe Haven Sanctuary. We are in great need of volunteers at our cat sanctuary just west of Brigham City. Volunteering involves doing daily chores for the cats, loving them, scooping litter boxes, watering, feeding, cleaning, etc. We would need you to commit to two or three hours on whatever day you choose; the time of day is flexible, whatever suits your schedule.
  • Farr West Senior Center is looking for a Zumba instructor for Wednesday mornings.
  • Meals on Wheels of Weber County needs volunteers to assist drivers by running meals from vehicle to door of clients. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and in good physical condition. Must be able to enter and exit the vehicles 40-60 times per route. Outside work (exposure to all weather conditions).
  • Are you feeling lonely and 55 years or older? Would you like someone to call you weekly to visit with you? If you would be interested in having someone call you, then contact us.
  • Do you know how to use sign language? Fluent in other languages? Hill Aerospace Museum is looking for individuals who can be on call for groups and individuals who need this service while attending the museum.
  • Ogden American Legion Post 9 is seeking volunteers for its honor guard. Members perform military funeral honors, flag retirement ceremonies, post colors at events and Eagle Scout court of honors. Training will be provided and assistance is available for uniform purchase.
  • The Circles program through OWCAP is looking for community members to volunteer as allies and help community members break the circle of poverty. Allies are community members who want to be in a supportive, befriending relationship with an individual or family enrolled in the Circles program.
  • Volunteers needed for Ogden ReStore. Volunteer at Habitat for Humanity’s nonprofit home-improvement thrift store to accept donated items, maintain sales floor, price merchandise, assist customers and operate the register.
  • Do you love talking about birds? Or interacting with people in natural spaces? Then being a Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge volunteer might be the position for you! They have different volunteering opportunities.
  • The Heritage Park Care Center in Roy is looking for someone to volunteer once or twice a week for two hours in their thrift shop.
  • YCC is looking for volunteers to do yard work around their facility. Hours may vary.
  • The American Red Cross is in need of volunteers in your area! We have many positions available, but two of our most needed are blood donor ambassadors and disaster volunteers! Blood donor ambassadors volunteer at blood drives and help to check in the blood donors for their appointments. Disaster volunteers can be boots on the ground in person and respond to disasters big and small or help us in a virtual capacity by being a duty officer or a Recovery Team member.
  • Washington Terrace Senior Center is looking for volunteers in the kitchen, Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. They are also looking for a ceramic teacher to work Wednesdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. to noon.
  • The Hill AFB Thrift Shop is seeking volunteers for various positions in the shop who are willing to help on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. Please stop by and inquire within if you are interested in any of the Thrift Shop opportunities or contact the shop with any questions.
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters are looking for volunteers. For more details, visit their site at bbbsu.org, click on Be a Big, then on drop down click on Get Started. You will need to read and complete each step.
  • The Foster Grandparent Program and RSVP Grandparent Programs in Weber, Davis, Morgan and Box Elder counties are looking for individuals 55 years of age or older to volunteer as reading tutors to elementary school children who have fallen behind their class. Volunteers are placed at a school close to home and can serve between two to 20 hours per week. Monthly stipend and mileage reimbursements are available to those who qualify.
  • Inspiration Home Health and Hospice is looking for volunteers to be companions with hospice patients.
  • A Center for Grieving Children is in need of volunteers. We are a nonprofit organization that works with children, teens and their families who are experiencing loss because of death, divorce or separation. We train all new volunteers. Volunteers needed to work in the office, make lessons for children, and clean.
  • Seager Memorial Clinic is in need of volunteer providers, pharmacists and pharm techs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3-6 p.m. Over 170 volunteers help us provide easy-access, non-judgmental, free charitable medical, dental and mental health care to the underserved. We are located in the basement of the Ogden Rescue Mission, 2775 Wall Ave. in Ogden.
  • Davis County area is in need of Meals on Wheels volunteers — drivers and runners. Monday through Friday, hours may vary based on route; routes are about two hours, 10 a.m. to noon. Volunteer one shift a week or as a sub if you cannot commit to a steady schedule.
  • Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is looking for individuals 55 years of age or older to volunteer in local nonprofit organizations such as food banks, shelters, housing complexes, senior centers, wildlife centers, historical museums, schools and more. Mileage reimbursement allowed.
  • Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) give a child a voice and change their story. Must be over 21 and able to pass a background check.
  • The Weber County Sport Shooting Complex is looking for volunteers for the following positions: Range safety office and range reception/cashier. Volunteers need not be certified but must have a basic knowledge of firearms, firearm safety and must take a four-hour class. Individuals must pass a background check and volunteer a minimum of eight hours per month. Training provided.
  • Golden Hours is looking for a volunteer to help in its thrift store.
