Motorcyclist dead after collision with SUV in Pleasant View

Stetson Talbot of the Pleasant View Police Department told the Standard-Examiner.
The accident occurred at around 8:30 p.m. and authorities arrived on the scene almost immediately, according to Talbot. Upon arrival, responders were able to locate the person — a man in his mid-to-late 50s — at which point they were pronounced dead as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, the man’s identity is not being released at this time.
Talbot noted that the driver of the SUV remained on the scene in the wake of the accident and is cooperating with investigative efforts. He further noted that those in the SUV may have suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash; however, they were not transported by ambulance.
Despite the recent precipitation, Talbot noted that the roadway where the accident occurred was dry.
No other details are being released, pending the investigation by the Weber County Crash Team.
