OGDEN — Ogden High baseball advanced to the Region 13 baseball tournament final with a 6-4 win over South Summit on Thursday at Lindquist Field.

Sean Garceau batted 3 for 4 with two triples, one RBI and three runs scored for Ogden (12-12). Ryder Rivera went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs. Will Minkevich and Ellio Saenz each drove in one with a single.

Ogden will face Grantsville at Lindquist Field at 5:30 p.m. Friday for the region tournament championship.

ROY 13, KEARNS 3

ROY — Roy led 6-0 after the first inning in a region win over Kearns.

Ryder Williams batted 2 for 3 with a double for Roy (8-11, 6-6 Region 2). Teyo Gil went 2 for 3 and drove in three. Matt Porm had two RBIs while Max Robinson and Gavin Barney each drove in one. Justin Miller pitched a complete game, giving up three earned runs and striking out three.

GRANTSVILLE 9, MORGAN 4

OGDEN — Morgan couldn’t hold on to an early 4-2 lead and dropped a Region 13 tournament semifinal at Lindquist Field.

Broox McGiven batted 2 for 3 with two RBIs for Morgan (10-13). Benjamin Harden and Jaren Stuart drove in a run apiece.

DAVIS 6, SYRACUSE 5

KAYSVILLE — After Syracuse tied it 5-5 in the top of the seventh, Davis answered for a walk-off win.

Larkyn Robinson batted 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs for Davis (8-11, 2-8 Region 1). Avery Kartchner batted 2 for 4 and drove in one. Nina Attanasio earned the win in two relief innings.

Brooklyn Sackolwitz hit a solo home run for Syracuse (5-14, 1-8). Abby Reed went 2 for 4 with a triple. Jaidyn Franco batted 2 for 2 with a double. Brielle Millus hit a three-run double.

LAYTON 9, CLEARFIELD 3

CLEARFIELD — Layton pulled away late to win at Clearfield.

Brenley Boydston hit a solo home run for Layton (8-6, 5-4 Region 1). Jazmine Prathan batted 3 for 5 and drove in one. Averi Orris hit 3 for 4 and scored two runs. Lauryn Hall went 2 for 4 with two RBIs. Hadley Robbins earned the win in four innings of work.

Riley Rose hit a two-run home run for Clearfield (4-11, 2-8). Six other Falcons hit singles.

BOUNTIFUL 4, WOODS CROSS 2

BOUNTIFUL — Bountiful shortstop Shiloh Johnson threw out Woods Cross’ Kenna Cowley attempting to steal home to end the game.

Eva Stoddard hit an RBI double and pitched a complete game with 13 strikeouts for Bountiful (12-4-1, 7-0 Region 5). Mylie Burns and Malissa Turpin drove in one run apiece.

Cowley batted 2 for 4 with a double Woods Cross (6-13, 0-8). Ali Ebberts and Noa Latu each had two hits, with Latu driving in one. Libby Clark hit a double.

NORTHRIDGE 9, VIEWMONT 8

BOUNTIFUL — Leading 9-0 in the fifth inning, Northridge held off a Viewmont rally for a region road win.

Kadence Chournos and Jenika Weaver each batted 3 for 4 for Northridge (9-7, 3-5 Region 5), with Chournos driving in three and Weaver two. Amaya Porter and Morgan Rich each hit a double. Porter pitched a complete game with two strikeouts.

Kennedy Embry batted 2 for 4 with a home run, a double and drove in three for Viewmont (11-8, 3-5). Molly Roberts batted 4 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs. Jenavieve Eggett batted 3 for 4 with a triple and Anna Moore tripled.
