Week in review: On Oct. 5, Barton won the Region 5 girls cross country individual championship at Layton Commons Park. Barton dominated the field, winning the 3-mile race in 18:12.0, which was 41.9 seconds faster than the second-place runner. Her time of 18:12.0 was a personal record and the race victory was her second win of the year, having won the Ogden/Weber City-County race in September.
