Abigail Walker scored the No. 1 Jayhawks’ (12-2) only goal in the 32nd minute for a 1-0 win over No. 4 Millard.

In the 32nd minute, Walker ran on to a through ball and the oncoming keeper blocked Walker’s shot, but Walker got the ball back facing away from the goal, spun around and rolled the ball into an empty net with her left foot.

Goalkeeper Cicily Flores kept the team’s ninth shutout of the season, repelling each one of Millard’s attacks.

The Jayhawks will play at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman against No. 2 Rowland Hall, whom the Jayhawks beat 2-1 in the regular season.

MAGNA — Roy won the last two sets to grab a victory at Cyprus. Scores were 25-15, 24-26, 24-26, 25-22, 15-5.

SarahVi Drca led Roy (9-13, 8-4 Region 2) with one service ace, six kills, five blocks and four digs.

DAVIS 3, SYRACUSE 1

KAYSVILLE — Davis handed Syracuse its first region loss in four sets: 25-21, 27-25, 18-25, 27-25.

Aubrey Nielson led Davis (21-7, 9-3 Region 1) with 16 kills and three aces. Kenzi Edgmon tallied three blocks, Brinley Bush added 15 digs and Aimee Larsen dished out 56 assists.

Kallie Johansen paced Syracuse (20-9, 10-1) with 11 kills and five aces. Tehana Mo’o tallied eight blocks, Kambree Rodriguez had 25 digs and Brilyn Jensen dished out 35 assists.

CLEARFIELD 3, LAYTON 0

LAYTON — McKenna Steiner hit 11 kills with three service aces to lead Clearfield to a 25-10, 25-23, 25-22 sweep over Layton.

Madison Yeager led Clearfield (9-19, 3-9 Region 1) with 20 assists and Bailey Hoover hit four service aces.

Layton (7-20, 1-11) didn’t report stats.

PLEASANT VIEW — Weber swept Fremont late Wednesday by scores of 25-11, 25-10, 25-18.

Martina Borda-Bossana paced Weber (16-12, 8-4 Region 1) with six aces, one block and 26 assists. Havi Montano tallied eight kills and seven digs.

Fremont (5-18, 4-7 Region 1) did not report stats.

BRIGHAM CITY — Bountiful won in straight sets at Box Elder: 25-10, 25-9, 25-19.

Jordyn Harvey led Bountiful (25-1, 9-0 Region 5) with 21 kills, six aces and seven digs. Taylor Harvey added 12 kills and two aces. Evi Chism tallied 33 assists and served seven aces.

Box Elder (11-15, 2-7) did not report stats.
