CLEARFIELD — Xiyah Yarbrough totaled 20 points and seven rebounds to lead Clearfield High girls basketball past Taylorsville by a 55-43 score Friday night.

Izzy Wyaskett added 10 points, seven boards, six steals and three assists for Clearfield (3-0). Gretchin Higley scored six points.

SYRACUSE 63, TIMPANOGOS 28

MORGAN — Syracuse ran out to a 40-13 halftime lead in a win over Timpanogos at the Morgan Winter Classic.

Cortnie Barker led all scorers with 16 points and two 3-pointers for Syracuse (3-0). Avery Sanders scored 14 points. Maylee Anderson and Olivia Sorenson each added 10 points.

SKY VIEW 42, ROY 29

SMITHFIELD — Sky View held Roy to seven second-half points to claim the game.

Analeise Maharaj led Roy (1-2) with seven points. Sienna Bodily and Jerzee Hart each added six points and six rebounds.

BOUNTIFUL 54, SPANISH FORK 26

BOUNTIFUL — Bountiful led 32-12 at the half in a home win over Spanish Fork.

Taylor Harvey and Milika Satuala each scored 16 points for Bountiful (2-2). Meleah Nelson added nine points on three 3-pointers.

WOODS CROSS 35, FARMINGTON 33

FARMINGTON — Woods Cross took a 26-18 lead into the fourth quarter and held off a Farmington comeback for a road win on Thursday.

Katie King led Woods Cross (2-0) with 12 points and two 3-pointers. Grace MacArthur scored nine points and Kiyomi Tauataina added eight.

Brynn Ryan led all scorers with 17 points and three treys for Farmington (0-2). Kate Garff, Jazmin Spence and Hailey Larsen each scored four points.

APA-DRAPER 33, LAYTON CHRISTIAN 26

LAYTON — Sofia Saez tallied a double double for Layton Christian but the Eagles fell at home to American Preparatory Academy-Draper on Thursday.

Saez had 16 points and 12 rebounds for Layton Christian (1-3). Ava Smith added eight points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two steals.

PLEASANT VIEW — Weber trailed 61-58 after three quarters, then won the final frame 21-16 for a home win over Judge Memorial.

Hunter Schenck led all scorers with 25 points for Weber (3-0). Malachi Spencer added 21 points and Will Stratford tallied 13.

GARLAND — Jake East led all scorers with 21 points as Ben Lomond bested Uintah at the Bear River Winter Classic.

Johnny Alcaraz added 18 points for Ben Lomond (1-3). Deshaun Holland hit five 3-pointers for 15 points.

BEAR RIVER 66, APA-WV 62

GARLAND — Bear River outscored American Preparatory Academy-West Valley 20-15 in the fourth quarter to turn a 47-46 deficit into a win at the Bear River Winter Classic.

Bridger Barfuss led Bear River (2-1) with 11 points on three 3-pointers, 13 rebounds, five assists and two steals. Kaser Thurgood scored 10 points with two treys. Gehrig Marble added 10 points and seven rebounds. The Bears outrebounded APA-WV 44-26 and tallied 22 assists.

HIGHLAND 36, DAVIS 30

KAYSVILLE — Highland held Davis to 11 points across the second and third quarters.

Bode Sparrow led Davis (2-2) with seven points. Caleb Taylor added six points on two 3-pointers. The Darts shot 25% (11 of 44) from the field and 6 of 23 from behind the 3-point arc.

RIVERTON 57, FREMONT 54

PLAIN CITY — Riverton held Fremont to seven first-quarter points and the Silverwolves could not overcome the slow start in a home loss.

Easton Duft led Fremont (3-1) with 15 points and three 3-pointers. Hunter Hansen added 14 points and four treys. Jaxon Slaugh scored seven points.

COTTONWOOD 57, SYRACUSE 54

MURRAY — Brad Trejo and Skyler Orton each scored 13 points, with Trejo adding three 3-pointers, but Syracuse fell in a close one on the road.

Joshua Godfrey added 11 points for Syracuse (1-1).

BOUNTIFUL — Max Draper scored a game-high 23 points and hauled in eight rebounds to lead Viewmont past Summit Academy.

Cache Tuia added 18 points and four 3-pointers for Viewmont (1-2). Max Larsen added nine points.

BRIGHAM CITY — Olympus outscored Box Elder 48-23 in the second half to hand the Bees a home loss.

RICHFIELD — Morgan was on the wrong end of a 16-3 run coming out of halftime in a loss to Manti in the 3A Preview at Sevier Valley Center.

Colton Asay and Bracken Saunders each scored 18 points for Morgan (0-4).

OGDEN — Gavin Donovan led all scorers with 21 points and three 3-pointers but it wasn’t enough as St. Joseph fell to Rich at home.

Gavin Wolf added 13 points and three treys for St. Joseph (1-2).
