ROY — Ariana Strain scored a game-high 16 points with four 3-pointers to lead Roy High girls basketball past Weber 43-40 on Tuesday evening.

Analeise Maharaj added 11 points and two treys for Roy (2-1). Jerzee Hart tallied six points.

Rylee Jugler led Weber (0-2) with 12 points. Logyn Howell scored eight points with two 3-pointers.

BONNEVILLE 50, FARMINGTON 48

FARMINGTON — Bonneville used a 17-10 third quarter to overcome a halftime deficit and lead by one, then held on to win at Farmington.

Sidnee Geerdes scored 14 points to lead Bonneville (1-1), with 11 coming in the second half. Whitni Johnson knocked down three 3s and scored 11 points. Tailey Buckway scored seven of her nine points in the second half.

Farmington (0-1) took a halftime lead thanks to Brynn Ryan, who scored 10 of her 14 points in the second quarter. Hailey Larsen added 12 points.

DAVIS 57, MTN CREST 36

HYRUM — Davis led 34-11 at the half in a win at Mountain Crest.

Kendra Kitchen led all scorers with 19 points for Davis (2-0). T’Maea Eteuati added 14 points. Shea Mille and Kate Richards each had six points, with Richards hitting two 3-pointers.

BOX ELDER 53, SKY VIEW 44

BRIGHAM CITY — Kamri Anderson scored a game-high 16 points to lead Box Elder past Sky View.

Maddie Thurgood added 12 points for Box Elder (1-0) and Kaydence Barber tallied 10 points.

BOUNTIFUL 57, MORGAN 22

BOUNTIFUL — Bountiful ended Morgan’s hopes with a 20-2 third quarter advantage.

Taylor Harvey led Bountiful (1-2) with 17 points. Milika Satuala added 10 points.

Morgan (0-2) got five points apiece from Eva Birkeland and Kaydence Wardell.

LONE PEAK 87, LAYTON 27

HIGHLAND — Oakley Homer hit two 3-pointers and scored eight points as Layton fell at Lone Peak. Hadley Collier added five points for Layton (0-2).

SALT LAKE CITY — Kendall Prieto and Giselle Patino each scored five points as Utah Military Academy-Hill Field (0-1) lost at Rowland Hall.

WASHINGTON TERRACE — Bonneville jumped on Bear River 23-12 in the first quarter and held on for a home win when the Bears missed a game-tying shot attempt at the buzzer.

Nick Sebahar led Bonneville (2-1) with 21 points. Hayden Ashbridge scored 10 points, Jackson Call had eight and Zac Combe added seven.

Gehrig Marble paced Bear River (0-1) with 12 points. Kyver Jensen scored 11 points, Bridger Barfuss tallied nine and Jace Roberts pitched in seven.

FREMONT 57, RIDGELINE 51

PLAIN CITY — Fremont overcame a slow start by exploding to a 25-17 advantage in the second quarter — enough to hold off Ridgeline at home.

Hunter Hansen scored 11 of his game-high 20 in the second quarter for Fremont (3-0). Easton Duft scored 15 points and Ryker Saunders scored nine of his 11 in a close-out fourth quarter.

WEBER 67, SPANISH FORK 55

SPANISH FORK — Hunter Schenck led all scorers with 24 points and two 3-pointers as Weber won at Spanish Fork.

Malachi Spencer scored 15 points for Weber (2-0). Jordan Oberholtzer added 13 points, Will Stratford tallied nine and Ben Olpin scored six.

LAYTON 85, COPPER HILLS 61

WEST JORDAN — Five Lancers scored in double figures and Layton made 14 3-pointers to win at Copper Hills.

Karter Miller led Layton (2-0) with 19 points on four 3-pointers and 7 of 8 from the free-throw line. Mekhi Martin scored 17 points with three treys.

KJ Miller tallied 13 points with three 3-pointers. Cade Tidwel had 13 points and two 3-pointers while Sam Romer added 11 points.

PLEASANT GROVE 83, DAVIS 80

PLEASANT GROVE — Davis led by 13 with 2:24 left in the third quarter but Pleasant Grove rallied with a 24-12 fourth quarter to take down the Darts.

Davis (2-1) got 22 points apiece from Zach Fisher and Coleman Atwater, with Atwater added six rebounds and four assists. Fisher made every shot he attempted (9 of 9 on twos, 1 of 1 on 3s, 1 of 1 at the foul line). Ike Morgan dished 10 assists with six points. Caleb Taylor scored 17 points and Bode Sparrow added 10.

Davis committed 21 turnovers and shot 3 of 16 from the 3-point line while Pleasant Grove had 12 turnovers and was 11 of 28 from deep.

COTTONWOOD 74, NORTHRIDGE 67

LAYTON — Logan Birt scored 20 points with five 3-pointers but Northridge dropped a home game to Cottonwood.

Bentley Whitear added 14 points and three treys for Northridge (0-3) while De’Quone Kennedy scored 13 points.

LAYTON CHRISTIAN 71, CRIMSON CLIFFS 59

LAYTON — Luka Kulundzic hit nine 3-pointers and scored 29 points to lead Layton Christian to a home win over Crimson Cliffs on Monday.

Tyrin Jones added 16 points for Layton Christian (1-1) and Alan Gballou tallied eight points.
