OGDEN — St. Joseph Catholic High volleyball swept Waterford by scores of 25-14, 25-19, 25-20 on Tuesday.

Laura Skerkoski led St. Joseph (15-2, 4-1 Region 17) with 15 kills, 14 digs, three assists, two aces and one block.

Leticia Ramos had 17 kills, four digs and one ace. Lizzie Randall tallied 24 assists, four kills, seven digs, one ace and one block.

OGDEN 3, BEN LOMOND 0

OGDEN — Ogden swept Ben Lomond (1-10, 0-4 Region 13) by scores of 25-6, 25-4, 25-6.

Audrey Wangsgard had five kills and five aces for Ogden (11-6, 3-1). Jill Wood served six aces.

LAYTON 3, SYRACUSE 0

SYRACUSE — Layton beat Syracuse for the first time since 2016 and broke a 12-match losing streak against the Titans with a 25-21, 25-17, 25-18 sweep.

Kallie Johansen led Syracuse (10-6, 1-1 Region 1) with seven kills, Karlie Hamblin had13 digs and Brilyn Jensen put up 17 assists.

Layton (10-5, 1-1) didn’t report stats.

VIEWMONT 3, ROY 0

BOUNTIFUL — Roy lost a close, three-set match at Viewmont by scores of 25-16, 25-23, 26-24.

Kylee Searcy had 18 digs, seven kills, one block and one ace for Roy (2-7, 0-6 Region 5).

PLEASANT VIEW — Farmington’s Cole Taylor and Jack Summerhays finished 1-2 at Monday’s Region 1 boys golf match at The Barn Golf Club.

Taylor won medalist honors with a 65 and Summerhays shot 66, helping Farmington to a 12-shot team win.

SYRACUSE — Amelia Smith netted a golden goal in extra time on a Kristen Moss assist to lift Layton to a region win at Syracuse.

Jersee Clapier and Moss each added a goal for Layton (8-4, 5-2 Region 1). Calli Holje tallied two assists.

Taylee Hughes and Hailey Bott each netted for Syracuse (7-6, 4-3). Jocee Eddy assisted both goals.

CLEARFIELD 2, ROY 1

ROY — Karlee Hobbs and Kennedy Henley each scored in the second half to lift Clearfield (14-3, 10-2 Region 5) to a region win at Roy (3-11, 3-9).

BOX ELDER 3, NORTHRIDGE 2 (OT)

BRIGHAM CITY — Ashlyn Wight scored a golden goal in extra time on an assist from Oakley Norman to send Box Elder to a win over Northridge (8-5, 7-5 Region 5).

Halli Wright netted twice for Box Elder (9-5, 8-4). Norman had two assists and Kaydence Barber assisted one goal.

BEN LOMOND 2, UNION 0

OGDEN — Kaitlyn Maquin kept a clean sheet as Ben Lomond blanked Union.

Alex Chadwick had a goal and an assist to lead Ben Lomond (4-6, 4-2 Region 13). Melanie Solis scored once and Lilly Isakson had an assist.

ROWLAND HALL 5, ST. JOSEPH 4

OGDEN — St. Joseph couldn’t overcome a 4-1 halftime deficit in a region loss.

Abigail Gough scored twice for St. Joseph (4-5, 3-1 Region 17). Jaci Coles scored one goal with one assist, Sofia Evans scored once and Brooke Majewski assisted one goal.
