LAYTON — Garrison Garton tossed a no-hitter as Layton High baseball blanked Herriman 5-0 on Friday.

Garton struck out five and walked three in the victory.

Emilio Cedeno batted 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI for Layton (7-1). Fish Manning hit an RBI double. Tanner Neil batted scored two runs.

FREMONT 8, BINGHAM 0

PLAIN CITY — Brigg Grange batted 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs as Fremont blanked Bingham.

Brant Koford and Logan Penland each batted 2 for 4 with a double for Fremont (5-3). Penland drove in one. Anthony Marziale hit a two-run double and Garet Jones hit an RBI double.

Kobe Nance earned the win, striking out 10 and allowing three hits in 6 1/3 innings.

MTN CREST 2, BEAR RIVER 1

HYRUM — In the first game of a doubleheader, Bear River gave up a run in the bottom of the seventh inning for a walk-off loss at Mountain Crest.

Talon Marble and Brooks Drollinger each had two hits for Bear River (9-4, 5-1 Region 11). Degan Rigby had an RBI.

BEAR RIVER 5, MTN CREST 3

HYRUM — In the nightcap, Bear River scored two runs in the top of the 10th inning for the win.

Gehrig Marble batted 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI for Bear River. Easton Goodliffe went 2 for 3 with a double. Degan Rugby hit two singles and drove in two. Brooks Drollinger had two RBIs. Goodliffe earned the win with three hits and four strikeouts in four innings of relief.

LEHI 9, SYRACUSE 7

SYRACUSE — Carson Miles hit a two-run home run but it wasn’t enough as Syracuse fell at home to Lehi.

Dawson Raymond had three hits for Syracuse (3-4-1). Easton Hamblin hit a two-run single. Tatum Martin batted 2 for 4 and drove in one.

PLEASANT GROVE 2, WEBER 0

PLEASANT GROVE — Jarett Hill hit a double for the only Weber (3-5) hit in a loss at Pleasant Grove.

GARLAND — Bear River scored three runs in the sixth inning to turn a 3-1 deficit into a region win over Mountain Crest.

Ashley Warren hit an RBI double for Bear River (6-4, 2-1 Region 11). Bella Douglas added a double. Aubree Fry hit an RBI single. Katelyn Wilson earned the win with no hits and three strikeouts in two innings of relief.

CLEARFIELD 11, OGDEN 2

OGDEN — Ogden scored in the bottom of the third inning to cut the Clearfield lead to 3-2, then the Falcons responded with eight unanswered runs for a road win.

Clearfield (5-5) did not report stats.

Mia Sugimoto batted 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI for Ogden (3-4). Abby Thompson had two hits and Isabella Rounkles had an RBI on a sacrifice fly.

TAYLORSVILLE 8, FARMINGTON 7

TAYLORSVILLE — Farmington scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning but left the potential tying run on base in a loss at Taylorsville.

Madison Kelker batted 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs for Farmington (4-4). Nev Carrasquel hit a two-run double. Kiley Gazafy and Ruby Andrus each had two hits and Lexi Crowley drove in two.

SYRACUSE — Easton Cragun netted to give Syracuse a 1-0 halftime lead in a region win over Weber.

Cooper Harwood scored to give Davis (3-2, 1-1) a 1-0 halftime lead.

SPANISH FORK — Joaquim Diniz had a goal and an assist as Layton Christian won at Maple Mountain late Thursday.
