OUTLOOK

Jared Barlow’s Trojans hummed to a perfect record and subsequent 3A state title two seasons ago, and looked the part in 2025 with 2,000-yard passer Cade Randall and a dynamic receiving corps. George Thurston (677 yards, 6 TDs) is the only returning starter at receiver, and Morgan welcomes back senior Owen Gilson (732 yards, 5 TDs) at quarterback to recreate some of that magic. There’s plenty of senior leadership to go around, but limited experience as Morgan tries to repiece multiple position groups this fall. Barlow is especially pleased with the offseason workload and how this group handled it. They’re sure to be the favorites in 3A North again, but the schedule includes some real steel. Week 1’s home opener against defending 4A champion Ridgeline is a tough first test and sure to be a sellout crowd as the Trojans kick off 2026.
