On the fourth offensive play, Judd Howells scored on a 4-yard run, and Box Elder (5-0, 2-0 Region 5) led 7-0. The Bees forced a Roy (1-4, 0-2) punt, and on the next play, Kaydn Reyes found Josh Pugsley behind the Roy defense for a 62-yard touchdown. A two-point conversion put Box Elder ahead 15-0.

Roy got on the board with a 4-yard rushing touchdown from Howie Howard. The Royals used a late goalline stand to keep the Bees out of the end zone. Settling instead for a field goal, Tytan Hupp put through a 20-yarder as the first-half clock expired and Box Elder held an 18-7 halftime lead.

With 5:38 left in the third quarter, Gunner Pearson connected with Juju Teran, whose dive at the pylon resulted in a 44-yard touchdown pass. A failed two-point attempt resulted in an 18-13 Bees lead.

Hupp added a 26-yard field goal with 2:02 left in the third quarter then, one play after a Roy punt from its own endzone, Cammon Bushnell dove in the end zone and hauled in a Reyes 36-yard scoring strike for a 28-13 lead with 8 seconds left in the third quarter.

The Royals forced and recovered a Reyes fumble, and converted the turnover in a 19-yard scoring strike from Pearson to Tyler Dickson. Another unsuccessful two-point try yielded the final score.
