Mitchell Stone couldn’t replicate last week’s near-one-hit outing against Idaho Falls and the Ogden Raptors fell to the Chukars 11-7 on Sunday afternoon to end Ogden’s four-game win streak.

A single, two walks and a wild pitch helped Idaho Falls (11-13) take a 3-0 lead against Stone in the top of the first. The Raptors (14-10) answered with four runs in the bottom of the inning, knocking IF starter Armando Valle out after he recorded just one out.

Logan Williams walked with the bases loaded, and Nick Ultsch and Landen Barns followed with singles to put the Raptors up 4-3.

But Ogden wouldn’t score again until the ninth inning with the game mostly out of reach. Tyler Wyatt hit a three-run homer and Mark Herron Jr. a solo shot in the fourth to put Idaho Falls up 8-4 and end Stone’s outing.

Sam Troyer added a three-run blast against Raptors reliever Chase Stratton in the fifth to put the game away.

Dakota Conners, Juan Teixeira and Coleton Horner each recorded two hits for Ogden.

Quinn Waterhouse, Marshall Shill and Dan Kubiuk kept Idaho Falls scoreless over the final four innings, allowing a combined four hits, striking out five and walking zero.

Victor Rodriguez got the win for the Chukars, going 4 2/3 scoreless innings in relief of Valle’s rough start.

The Raptors have Monday off and travel to Colorado Springs for a three-game series against the Rocky Mountain Vibes from Tuesday through Thursday. Ogden then has Friday off and returns home for three games against Boise (June 24-26) and three against Idaho Falls (June 27-29).
