Rosters announced for 2023 Weber State Basketball Alumni Classic; fans to vote on starters

Rosters are set for the fifth Weber State Basketball Alumni Classic, hosted by Damian Lillard, on Saturday at the Dee Events Center.
The game will feature WSU men’s basketball players from five different decades. The group includes five former Big Sky MVPs, several all-conference performers and nine players that were named to the Weber State 50th Anniversary Team.
Coaches will include Lillard, legendary former WSU and Jazz coach Phil Johnson, former women’s head coach Carla Taylor, current men’s coach Eric Duft and his current men’s assistants.
The night begins from 4-5 p.m. with an autograph-signing session in the north concourse.
At 5:30, the on-court fun begins with a shooting competition. Lillard will participate in this event.
Former women’s players will compete in that event: Hall of Fame players Crystal Howe Nye and Julie Gjertsen Meurer, along with Tori Allen, Larryn Brooks, Zharia Hale, and Kailie Quinn.
After a 3-point shooting competition, the alumni game begins.
This time around, fans can vote on who starts for each team by visiting WeberStateSports.com/form/45 and voting before noon Friday. One fan will be chosen from among voters to win an autographed basketball from the evening.
Lillard will not play in the game, according to a news release from WSU.
General admission tickets are on sale for $10 with a family package available for five tickets for $40. Fans can purchase tickets at the Dee Events Center ticket office or online at WeberStateTickets.com.
