Weber State football hosted a handful of NFL scouts Wednesday in a pro day workout for four outgoing WSU senior players.

Running back Josh Davis, receiver Ty MacPherson, tight end Justin Malone and safety Desmond Williams performed drills and more for scouts on the indoor field inside the Marquardt Field House.

Weber State’s last NFL draft pick was defensive back Taron Johnson. In 2018, the Buffalo Bills drafted Johnson in the fourth round.

Johnson and receiver Rashid Shaheed (New Orleans Saints) are WSU’s two consistently active NFL players, with offensive lineman Iosua Opeta (Philadelphia Eagles) and defensive end Jonah Williams (Los Angeles Rams) seeing time on the active roster and on the practice squad for their respective teams.
