Sophomore Taylor Smith (women’s) and senior Blaise Threatt (men’s) were each named to the All-Big Sky First Team. Senior guard Kendra Parra joined Smith in women’s honors, named to the second team.

Smith is the first WSU women’s player named to the first team since 2018 (Larryn Brooks).

Threatt has averaged 20.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.9 steals per game on 52.3% shooting this season. In Big Sky games, his averages rose to 22.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.4 steals over 16 games.

Threatt was Weber State’s only representation for Big Sky men’s honors.

Idaho State sophomore Dylan Darling took home MVP and Newcomer of the Year honors, averaging 23.2 points and 5.9 assists over 18 conference games. Montana’s Travis DeCuire won his second coach of the year honors.

Montana’s Money Williams was named the top reserve, Portland State’s Tre-Vaughn Minott the defensive player of the year, and Idaho State’s Evan Otten is freshman of the year.

Sophomore wing/forward hybrid Taylor Smith averaged 13.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.3 steals per game this season. In conference games, Smith averaged 14.1 points and 6.4 rebounds over 16 games.

Parra averaged 12.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game while shooting 89.4% from the free-throw line, 15th best nationally. In 18 conference games, she averaged 14.1 points and 4.9 assists while shooting 34.4% from the 3-point line.

Montana State’s Esmeralda Morales takes women’s MVP honors after averaging 15.2 points and 1.9 steals for her 27-3 squad. MSU’s Tricia Binford won coach of the year for the fifth time.

Idaho’s Olivia Nelson is this season’s newcomer of the year, Northern Arizona’s Saniyah Neverson the top reserve, Montana State’s Taylor Chirrick the defensive player of the year, and Eastern Washington’s Kourtney Grossman the freshman of the year.
