For the fourth year, Dillon Jones returned home to Columbia, South Carolina, and hosted his Back-to-School Bash to help children prepare for the upcoming school year — this time also marking the launch of his own charity.

The second-year pro and former Weber State star welcomed about 150 local students, according to his representation, Roc Nation Sports, at Meadowlake Park’s community center to give them school supplies, free haircuts, food, and connect families with community resources.

The now two-time NBA champion, most recently with the New York Knicks, also gave away free backpacks through Adidas.

Jones used the occasion to launch the Dillon Jones Foundation, which “focuses on providing educational resources and support to youth while also working to help families address critical needs in underserved communities across South Carolina and New York,” the new organization’s website reads.

His foundation will operate using dillonjonesfoundation.org and people can follow his efforts on Instagram at the same handle.

Starting at $4.32/week.
