All 12 regular-season games of Eric Kjar’s first season will stream on the ESPN+ subscription service.

For home games, WSU’s two September contests will kick at 6 p.m. while the remaining four home games are at 1 p.m. Those 1 p.m. dates include an Oct. 10 home kickoff and an afternoon appetizer for Halloween night.

Overall, WSU is slated for five night games and seven afternoon games.

In stark contrast to the slates for the last two seasons, Weber State leaves the Mountain Time Zone just once in the 2026 season; that comes on an Oct. 3 trip to Cal Poly, sandwiched on either side by two home games. Nine of the 12 games are played in either Utah or Colorado.

Weber State kicks off the first game of the 2026 season for any Big Sky team on Friday, Aug. 28, with a 7 p.m. conference kickoff at Northern Colorado. One hour later, Idaho kicks off in a visit to Cal Poly for a nationally televised ESPN game.

WSU’s road game at Northern Colorado to open the season is a Big Sky game. Most teams in the league face off in the opening week because FCS voted to expand to 12-game seasons and the Big Sky voted to expand to a nine-game schedule.

The next week, however, WSU’s trip to Southern Utah counts as a nonconference game; the two schools agreed to a series of games prior to SUU rejoining the Big Sky and the 2026 contest will remain as scheduled.

ALUMNI TAIGLATE AT SUU

The Weber State Alumni Association is advertising a pregame tailgate ahead of the road game at Southern Utah on Sept. 5.

At 4:45 p.m., participants will eat a Mo’ Bettahs catered meal at a parking lot southeast of the stadium. The price is $12 per person and includes parking in that lot.
