A long time coming: USS Ogden veterans hold reunion in ship's namesake city for the first time
OGDEN — The men who once manned the Austin-class amphibious transport dock USS Ogden (LPD-5) have met all across the country for nearly 45 years. They've trekked to locations such as Boise, Idaho, and Alabama, but one city was notably absent from that list — the ship's namesake of Ogden. However, that streak has come to an end as the city played host to the USS Ogden Reunion this week.
