Layton police: Impairment suspected in single-vehicle crash that cut power for hours

LAYTON — Impairment in combination with high speed is suspected in a single-vehicle crash that left many without power in Layton on Monday evening. Lt. Michael Donnelly of the Layton Police Department told the Standard-Examiner late Monday night that the crash, which involved a vehicle taking out three power poles, was reported around 6 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Gentile Street and Fairfield Road.
