Weber County Commission approves contract for indigent defense

OGDEN — During an abridged meeting at Weber Center on Tuesday, the Weber County Commission approved a contract between the county and John Rogers for the representation of indigent people in Ogden's 2nd District Court. According to his bio on the website for the Law Offices of John Rogers, the Brigham Young University alum — who also holds law degrees from UCLA and the University of San Diego — began his legal career as a prosecutor in Los Angeles County before returning to Utah to serve in the same role in Weber County.
