American Red Cross shares tips for avoiding lithium-ion battery fires as part of Fire Prevention Week
Fire Prevention Week 2026 is in full swing and the American Red Cross is reminding the public of a potential danger exacerbated by an ever-connecting world. This week, the American Red Cross of Utah sent out a press release reminding the public to be careful with lithium-ion batteries which can be found in phones, laptops, power tools, e-bikes and rechargeable toys.
