FARR WEST — A teenager is dead as a result of injuries suffered in a motorcycle collision that occurred Tuesday.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the 17-year-old male was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle at approximately 11:04 a.m. Tuesday when he crashed into a trailer that was being pulled by a Ford F-150 pickup truck at the 2700 North/2000 West intersection in Farr West.

Per a press release, witnesses observed that the southbound F-150 was attempting to turn left on a green arrow from 2000 West to eastbound 2700 North. At that point, the northbound Kawasaki went through the intersection, colliding with the trailer.

The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. However, he ultimately died from his injuries. The identity of the teen has not been provided.

UHP Sgt. Cameron Roden told the Standard-Examiner on Wednesday that no one in the truck was injured, the driver cooperated with authorities on the scene and the investigation is ongoing. No other details about the crash have been made available.
