OGDEN — Police are continuing to investigate a shooting that took place Saturday.

According to a press release on the Ogden Police Department’s Facebook page, officers were called to the 100 block of North Harrisville Road around 1:29 p.m. Saturday for a report of shots fired.

“Upon arrival, they learned one individual had been transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries,” the release said. “Officers recovered a firearm at the scene and identified some property damage. Several persons of interest and victims have been identified, and detectives have begun the ongoing investigation. The identities of the persons of interest and victims will not be released at this time.”

The Standard-Examiner reached out to the Ogden Police Department on Monday but was informed by Lt. Will Farr, the department’s public information officer, that no new information could be shared.

It is unknown how many people may have been involved.

The department also is seeking the public’s help, if able.

“Officers have obtained video evidence from this incident, but if anyone has additional information to assist this investigation, please contact dispatch at 801-395-8221,” the release said.
