BRIGHAM CITY — A Perry man sexually assaulted a dozen women over a five-year period after arranging meetings with the victims via social media, according to charging documents.

First District Judge Brandon Maynard on Wednesday sentenced Braydon Brailsford, 21, to four consecutive terms of five years to life in prison. Brailsford had pleaded guilty to charges involving three victims — three counts of rape and one count of forcible sodomy, all first-degree felonies. The Utah Attorney General’s Office dropped seven other charges in an August plea bargain.

The assaults occurred in Box Elder, Weber and Davis counties, according to charging documents. Brailsford earlier was sentenced to five years to life in a separate Box Elder County sexual assault case; another case remains pending in Cache County.

Brailsford “engaged in repeated, aggressive, and predatory sexual offenses across Northern Utah,” the Attorney General’s Office said in a news release Thursday.
