Prep basketball roundup: Kitchen helps Davis girls beat Bonneville, remain unbeaten
WASHINGTON TERRACE — Kendra Kitchen hit two of her team’s three 3-pointers Thursday night and racked up 25 points as Davis High girls basketball raced past Bonneville 56-30 to remain unbeaten.
Aryanna Bull scored nine points for Davis (6-0), with Chloe Peery scoring eight, T’Maea Eteuati seven and Maxine VanBrocklin six.
Bonneville (3-5) got nine points from Libby Jensen and six apiece from McCall Monson and Analeise Maharaj. The Lakers were undone by a one-point third quarter.
FREMONT 45, MTN RIDGE 38
SANDY — Fremont held Mountain Ridge (5-2) to 12 points across the second and third quarters on the way to a win at Jordan High’s Beetdigger Classic.
Sierra Eddie scored 15 points and hit both of her team’s 3-pointers to lead Fremont (3-3). Aly Coombs scored 10 points, and Charli Hunt and Saydee Heslop each added seven. Hunt’s seven all came on fourth-quarter free throws, a period in which the Silverwolves shot 13 of 15 from the line.
WOODS CROSS 51, WEBER 33
PLEASANT VIEW — Woods Cross outscored Weber 36-20 after the first quarter to beat the Warriors.
Georgia Hatton led WXHS (5-1) with 16 points and Brielle Gefrom had 13.
Logyn Howell scored 10 points and Jersey Coggins had eight for Weber (3-4). Woods Cross shot 10 of 13 at the free-throw line and the Warriors went 0 for 8.
WEST JORDAN 57, CLEARFIELD 52
CLEARFIELD — Clearfield trailed 13-6 after the first quarter and couldn’t pull off a comeback.
Brooklyn Hawks led Clearfield (5-2) with 15 points and Xiyah Yarbrough scored 10 points with two 3-pointers.
BOUNTIFUL 46, OLYMPUS 34
HOLLADAY — Bountiful outscored Olympus 20-5 in the third quarter to stay unbeaten.
Taylor Harvey led Bountiful (6-0) with 17 points and Jordyn Harvey scored 10, all in the second half.

KAYSVILLE — Davis rallied from 16 points down in the first half but couldn’t close the deal as Lone Peak claimed a win on the road.
Coleman Atwater shot 9 of 10 from the field, including 4 of 4 from deep, to score 23 points for Davis (3-4). Colby Whicker added 14 points, five rebounds and three steals. Kaden Eggett totaled 10 points and seven rebounds.
UMA-CW 48, UTAH MILITARY 45
RIVERDALE — Utah Military Academy trailed 28-17 at halftime and nearly turned around the deficit in a loss to sister school UMA-Camp Williams.
Quin Ekberg led Utah Military Academy (4-2) with 15 points and Gai Gai scored 10. James Von Weber scored nine points.
