By Patrick Carr and Justin Johnson - Standard-Examiner | Apr 14, 2023

KAYSVILLE — Davis High’s boys soccer team scored twice in each half and thumped rival Farmington 4-0 on Friday.

Senior defender Talon Meyer headed in a free kick in the third minute of the game, then Bjorn Bergant scored the first of his two goals to put the Darts (4-1, 3-1 Region 1) ahead 2-0 at halftime.

Meyer said the team played “out of our minds” and is finally starting to get used to how each other plays on the field.

Bergant got his second goal midway through the second half. Kyle Livermore’s free kick deflected off Farmington’s wall of players in front of the goal, and Bergant got to the deflected ball before Farmington (5-1, 4-1) keeper Davis Wadsworth did, and made it 3-0 for the Darts.
