SALT LAKE CITY — Carlos Garcia scored a first-half goal and St. Joseph Catholic High boys soccer beat Rowland Hall 1-0 in a winner-take-all 2A North region championship game on Tuesday.

It’s the Jayhawks’ third consecutive region championship.

Gustavo Andrade kept the shutout in goal for St. Joseph (10-0, 8-0 2A North), which has allowed zero goals in 10 games this season.

OGDEN 2, MORGAN 0

OGDEN — Brigham Aardema and Ty Robinson scored goals as Ogden beat Morgan (8-6, 5-3 Region 13).

Hunter Pasins kept the shutout for Ogden (11-1, 8-0). Boston Rodriguez and Gerardo Esquivel assisted one goal each.

BEN LOMOND 3, SOUTH SUMMIT 2 (OT)

KAMAS — Kevin Aguilar scored two goals, including the game-winner in extra time, as Ben Lomond finished its regular season with a win.

Bryan Solis added one goal for Ben Lomond (6-6, 5-3 Region 13). Max Hoaglin had an assist.

BOX ELDER 3, BONNEVILLE 1

BRIGHAM CITY — Box Elder (5-5, 3-2 Region 5) scored two second-half goals to beat Bonneville.

Dennin Anderson scored for Bonneville (2-6, 2-3 Region 5). Box Elder didn’t report stats.

KAYSVILLE — Weber and Davis split a doubleheader on Tuesday.

In the first game, Weber (9-3, 7-1 Region 1) jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the third inning. Ellie Nielsen batted 3 for 4 with an RBI for Weber. Brailee Avner hit two doubles and drove in two. Aliya Rhees hit a three-run double.

Laney Tuft batted 3 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs for Davis (8-7, 3-5). Rayleigh Starnes batted 2 for 4 with a double and Ellie Black hit an RBI double.

In the second game, Serena Roth allowed three earned runs in seven innings pitched with four strikeouts for the Darts. Tuft hit 3 for 3 with two RBIs, Starnes batted 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Sydney Marrelli drove in two runs.

Logyn Howell hit a home run and two doubles for Weber. Hadley Howell hit a homer and Gabby Montgomery batted 2 for 2 with two walks.

ROY 17, KEARNS 0

ROY — Roy put 10 runs on the board in the second inning in a run-rule win over Kearns.

Lily Garcia batted 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, five RBIs and two runs scored for Roy (4-12, 3-7 Region 2). Quincy Johnson batted 2 for 2 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs. Lauren Ashby drove in two with no hits. Delaney Jackson pitched a three-inning complete game with three hits and three strikeouts.

SYRACUSE 11, CLEARFIELD 2

CLEARFIELD — Jazmine Prathan batted 2 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs to lead Syracuse (10-3, 6-2 Region 1) in a region win.

Kenlie Cowdin went 3 for 4 with two doubles and one RBI. Grace Thomas went 2 for 4 with a triple and drove in three. Mikela Millard hit a triple and drove in three. Jacee Hammon struck out seven over five innings for the win.

Eli Salazar batted 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI for Clearfield (2-15, 0-9). Sofie Francis hit an RBI single.

BOUNTIFUL 15, BONNEVILLE 7

WASHINGTON TERRACE — Bountiful (14-2, 6-0 Region 5) scored five runs in the top of the seventh inning to put the game out of reach in a region win at Bonneville.

Emmaline DeGroot batted 3 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs for Bonneville (5-6, 3-3). Morgan Rich hit a solo home run. Peighton Summers went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Stocktyn Stevenson added two hits.

NORTHRIDGE 18, WOODS CROSS 2

WOODS CROSS — Delaney Robinson, Jennika Weaver, Kaydence Chournos and Ellie Martinez each had three hits including a double and drove in a combined 10 runs as Northridge won at Woods Cross.

Jaden Anderson added a two-run double for Northridge (5-5, 2-3 Region 5). Amaya Porter struck out three and allowed one hit in three innings for the win.

MORGAN 18, SOUTH SUMMIT 12

KAMAS — Morgan had 26 base hits, 13 of which went for extra bases, in a shootout road win.

Joesi Kelly hit four doubles with four RBIs for Morgan (5-6, 3-2 Region 13). Stacey George went 4 for 5 with two doubles and three RBIs. Eva Birkeland, Elena Birkeland and Callie Averett had three base hits each.

BEAR RIVER 13, GREEN CANYON 1

GARLAND — Kate Dahle struck out seven batters as Bear River won in five innings.

Dahle also batted 2 for 4 with three RBIs and a double for Bear River (12-2, 4-1 Region 11). Luci Roche hit 3 for 4 with a double. Baylee Sorensen and Aubree Fry hit a triple.

BEAR RIVER 7, SPANISH FORK 6

SPANISH FORK — Bear River jumped on Spanish Fork with five runs in the first, then scored in the eighth to claim a big extra-innings win over the 5A Dons (14-2) on Monday.

Kaya Towne homered and scored two runs from the leadoff position for Bear River (11-2). Luci Roche and Ashley Warren each drove in two. Kate Dahle threw all eight innings, striking out 11 while walking seven, and allowing six hits but just one earned run.

OGDEN 5, GRANTSVILLE 4

GRANTSVILLE — Ogden kept its region title hopes alive by handing Grantsville its first region loss in a game that was moved to Grantsville due to weather.

Ellio Saenz hit an RBI double and pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts in the win. Kire Thompson and Carter Rasmussen each hit a two-run single for Ogden (5-1 Region 13). Sean Garceau hit a double.

FREMONT 9, WEBER 1

PLEASANT VIEW — Calvin Morrow struck out nine batters in 5 2/3 innings pitched as Fremont took the first game of its series with Weber.

Anthony Marziale hit 2 for 4 with three RBIs and a double for Fremont (13-3, 9-1 Region 1). Logan Penland drove in two runs and stole a base.

Ashton Burnett hit 2 for 4 for Weber (3-11, 2-7).

DAVIS 5, FARMINGTON 4 (8)

KAYSVILLE — Davis scored a walk-off win against Farmington.

Kaleb Weaver pitched seven innings and gave up three earned runs with six strikeouts for Davis (7-9, 7-3 Region 1). Weaver drove in two runs and Gavin Jacks batted 2 for 4. Carter Knight hit a double.

Logan Mounteer pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run for Farmington (7-10, 6-7). Zach Quinton hit two doubles with two RBIs.

LAYTON 8, CLEARFIELD 1

LAYTON — Gunnar Wolfe batted 2 for 3 and drove in one for Layton (8-7, 8-4 Region 1) in a region win. Fish Manning batted 2 for 3. Crew Harrop hit a two-run single and pitched a complete-game, three-hitter with eight strikeouts.

Colt Chambers hit a double for Clearfield (2-14, 0-10).

BOX ELDER 10, BONNEVILLE 0

WASHINGTON TERRACE — Tommy Greer batted 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI for Box Elder (6-5-1, 3-4 Region 5) in a region run-rule win. Tallin Chappell batted 2 for 4 with three RBIs. KJ Argyle went 3 for 4. Ryan Griffin hit a double, drove in two and pitched five innings with eight strikeouts against two hits allowed.

Enrique Garcia hit a double for Bonneville (2-10, 1-6). The Lakers collected four more hits.

VIEWMONT 10, NORTHRIDGE 1

LAYTON — Boston Wright batted 2 for 4 with a double as Northridge (4-9, 3-4 Region 5) dropped the first of a three-game series with Viewmont.

BEAR RIVER 5, RIDGELINE 1

MILLVILLE — Degan Rigby struck out eight batters in a complete-game win for Bear River.

Talon Marble batted 3 for 4 with two homers and three RBIs for Bear River (9-6, 5-4 Region 11). Gehrig Marble hit 2 for 4 with a double.

MORGAN 19, SOUTH SUMMIT 4

KAMAS — Benjamin Harden batted 4 for 5 with two RBIs in a big road win.

Luke Harris hit 2 for 3 with four RBIs and two walks for Morgan (4-14, 4-5 Region 13). Trevor DeWitt pitched five innings and struck out seven. Brigham Spens and JJ Compton had two base hits and three RBIs each.

KEARNS 4, ROY 3

KEARNS — Roy left 14 runners on base in a road loss. Tyler Clark batted 3 for 5 with a double and one RBI for Roy (8-7, 7-3 Region 2) and Peyton Yoder hit 3 for 4 with a stolen base.
