KAYSVILLE — Kendra Kitchen scored 26 points on eight field goals and shot 10 of 12 from the charity stripe to lead Davis High girls basketball past Clearfield 56-29 and clinch a share of the Region 1 title Tuesday night.

T’maea Eteuati scored eight points for Davis (18-1, 11-0 Region 1) and Olivia Lifferth added seven.

Izzy Wyaskett and Brighton Bernards each scored eight points for Clearfield (8-12, 2-9). Xiyah Yarbrough added six points.

FREMONT 56, SYRACUSE 46

PLAIN CITY — Fremont outscored Syracuse 44-31 after the first quarter for a region win.

Kaidance King led Fremont (16-6, 10-1 Region 1) with 13 points. Aly Coombs scored 11 points and Charli Hunt tallied 10. Syncere Langston and Sierra Eddie each added nine points, with Eddie hitting three 3-pointers.

Maylee Anderson led all scorers with 14 points and four 3-pointers for Syracuse (13-8, 7-4) and Rochelle Afo Manuma scored 10 points. Avery Sanders, Cami King and Cortnie Barker each added six points.

BOUNTIFUL 47, WOODS CROSS 29

WOODS CROSS — Bountiful led 27-14 at the half in a region win at Woods Cross.

Jordyn Harvey led all scorers with 13 points for Bountiful (18-1, 9-0 Region 5). Taylor Harvey tallied 10 points and Claire Cook added nine.

Kenna Cowley led Woods Cross (14-6, 5-4) with seven points. Mari Nichols and Calli Nelson each scored six points.

NORTHRIDGE 45, BOX ELDER 42

LAYTON — Northridge led 29-21 after three quarters and held off a late Box Elder charge for a region win.

Karlee Mayfield scored a game-high 15 points for Northridge (12-8, 6-3 Region 5). Nellia Mislang-Darden tallied 11 points and Kaylee Hess added six.

Kaydence Barber led Box Elder (8-13, 2-7) with 14 points. Ashlyn Wight added 11 points.

TAYLORSVILLE 45, ROY 25

TAYLORSVILLE — Roy trailed 16-2 after one quarter and could not recover in a region loss at Taylorsville.

Bria Belnap led Roy (6-15, 2-6 Region 2) with six points on two 3-pointers. Ariana Strain, Lylian Rosenberg and Nicole Williams each scored five points.

BEAR RIVER 66, LOGAN 33

GARLAND — Jenna LaCroix scored a game-high 16 points to lead Bear River past Logan in region play.

Aubree Fry scored 11 points for Bear River (10-9, 3-6 Region 11). Crystal Park and Lexi Westmoreland each added eight points.

KAYSVILLE — Austin Mitchell scored the game-winner with 5 seconds left to push Clearfield to a win at Davis for the Falcons’ first region victory.

Mitchell led all scorers with 17 points for Clearfield (7-13, 1-10 Region 1). Trace Hansen scored 14 points and Lincoln Church added 10. Church and Hansen each hit two 3-pointers.

Kaden Eggett and Coleman Atwater each scored 12 points for Davis (12-10, 6-5).

Each team made 20 field goals and five 3-pointers. The Falcons shot 7 of 10 from the foul line and the Darts were 6 of 11.

ROY 68, TAYLORSVILLE 42

TAYLORSVILLE — Roy built a 38-16 halftime advantage and Elijah Sowards’ latest double-double led the Royals to another region victory.

Sowards totaled 23 points and 10 rebounds for Roy (14-9, 9-3 Region 2). Beau Belnap scored 11 points. Bronson Belnap and Brody Nebeker each scored eight points. Corben Schuffenhauer totaled four points, three rebounds and five assists.
