Prep roundup: DeGroot helps Bonneville softball past Farmington
ST. GEORGE — Emmaline DeGroot homered and drove in two runs as Bonneville High softball held off Farmington 8-7 on Friday in St. George.
DeGroot pitched four innings for Bonneville (1-1). Stocktyn Stevenson tripled and Anastyn Stevenson drove in two runs for the Lakers.
Lisa Rasmussen doubled twice and drove in three runs for Farmington (1-1). Riley Eckhardt hit 2 for 3 and Kate Hansen drove in two.
RIVERTON 11, BONNEVILLE 1
ST. GEORGE — Brityn Buchanan batted 2 for 2 with a double and the lone RBI in a loss for Bonneville (0-1).

ST. GEORGE — Aviee Gomez hit 3 for 3 with two runs scored and one stolen base for Roy (0-2), which gave up a 15-run third inning after leading 7-0 going to the bottom of the second.

Laney Tuft homered and drove in three runs and Rayleigh Starnes had three RBIs and batted 2 for 2.

ST. GEORGE — Laney Tuft homered and doubled but Davis dropped its season opener.
Rayleigh Starnes hit two doubles for Davis (0-1). Ellie Black, Nina Attansio and Jewel Korth drove in two runs each.

ST. GEORGE — Farmington scored five runs in the fourth inning to take the lead for good against West.
Courtney Christiansen doubled and drove in a run for Farmington (1-0) and Elle Mortensen scored two runs.
