BOUNTIFUL — Clearfield High girls basketball led 36-27 after three quarters, then held off a Viewmont (10-6, 5-2 Region 5) comeback bid for a 47-43 region road win Wednesday.

Xiyah Yarbrough led Clearfield (12-3, 5-2) with 19 points, seven rebounds and six steals. Izzy Wyaskett added 10 points with three 3-pointers, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals. Jayla Kearns pitched in six points and four steals.

BOX ELDER 43, ROY 27

ROY — Box Elder used a 16-6 second-quarter advantage to take control in a region win at Roy.

Kadence Barber led all scorers with 13 points and had seven rebounds for Box Elder (12-4, 5-2 Region 5). Kamri Andersen scored 10 points and Jocelyn Vranes added seven points.

Rihanna Jones paced Roy (5-11, 1-6) with eight points. Nicole Williams and Ariana Strain each tallied seven points

UTAH MILITARY 30, FREEDOM PREP 20

RIVERDALE — Giselle Patino led all scorers with 13 points as Utah Military Academy-Hill Field grabbed a region win over Freedom Preparatory Academy.

Kendall Prieto added 12 points for Utah Military (2-8, 2-2 Region 16) and Cassidee Zollinger scored five.

GARLAND — Bear River led 31-5 at the half in a region win over Logan‬ late Tuesday.

Shelby Wilkinson led Bear River (6-11, 1-3 Region 11) with 12 points. Aubree Fry tallied nine points and Olivia Fry added eight.

LAYTON — Northridge led 32-24 at the half in a region win over Bonneville.

Bentley Whitear led all scorers with 26 points and three 3-pointers for Northridge (6-10, 5-2 Region 5). Josh Kitchen added 12 points and two treys while Peyton Perkins scored 11 points.

Zac Combe paced Bonneville (6-10, 2-5) with 19 points. Ben Tesch scored nine points while Nick Sebahar and Hayden Ashbridge each scored seven points.

GRANTSVILLE — Stockton Marriott led all scorers with 24 points — 18 in the first half — to lead Ogden to a region win at Grantsville.

Nyiol Hauet and Teegan Porter each scored 12 points for Ogden (13-5, 4-1 Region 13). Marriott and Porter each hit two 3-pointers.

LOGAN — Logan outscored Bear River 21-9 in the third quarter to take control.
