Prep basketball roundup: Layton Christian boys reach 19-3 win win at Uintah
VERNAL — Layton Christian Academy boys basketball led 35-16 at the half on the way to a 62-36 region win Tuesday at Uintah.
Alan Gballou led Layton Christian (19-3, 6-1 Region 17) with 11 points. Luka Kulundzic, Tyrin Jones and
Otavio Armani each scored 10 points, with Kulundzic hitting two 3-pointers and Armani one.

LAYTON — Layton Christian hammered Providence Hall from start to finish, including allowing zero points in the fourth quarter.
Ava Smith led LCA (10-10, 4-2 Region 14) with 14 points. Penelope Arroyo scored 11 points on three 3-pointers. Sofia Saez and Asmin Tanhan each added 10 points.

OGDEN — Jazzy Tinajero scored a game-high 12 points but it wasn’t enough as Ben Lomond fell to Union.
Aniyah Gomez scored six points on two 3-pointers for Ben Lomond (6-13, 0-7 Region 13).

KAMAS — Ogden fell behind 21-6 in the first quarter in a region loss at South Summit.
Salote Tonga led Ogden (5-15, 1-6 Region 13) with 15 points. Lily Gonzalez and Ruth Larsen each scored eight points, with Gonzalez hitting two 3-pointers.
