Prep roundup: West Field baseball, Davis and Box Elder softball keep rolling

A softball rests on the dirt at Ben Lomond High School on April 9, 2026, in Ogden.TAYLOR — Bryce Bagby pitched a five-inning complete game with eight strikeouts while allowing six hits to lead West Field High baseball past Bonneville in a 13-3 final Tuesday.
Luke Penland hit two doubles for West Field (16-4, 12-1 Region 5). Brady Penland batted 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI. Wyatt Penbrod hit an RBI triple and Kason Taylor hit three singles.
Trevyn Sears batted 2 for 3 with a double for Bonneville (5-15, 1-12). Jaygen Noble hit a two-run double and Colt Randal hit two singles.
BOX ELDER 3, ROY 2
ROY — Box Elder led 3-0 after two innings and snuffed out a Roy third-inning rally to take home a region road win.
Korbin Jeppesen batted 3 for 4 and drove in one for Box Elder (7-13, 6-7 Region 5). Camden Christensen hit a double and Porter Francom hit an RBI single. Bosten Steacie pitched a complete game with five hits and nine strikeouts in the win.
Julian Teran doubled to drive in both runs for Roy (9-14, 5-11).
OGDEN 13, STANSBURY 12 (8)
OGDEN — After giving up four runs in the top of the eighth inning, Ogden answered with five runs in the bottom half for a walkoff win over Stansbury on Monday.
Rodrigo Torres and Xavier Aldous each hit a double and drove in two for Ogden (6-17). Easton Green hit a triple and Sam Bushell added a double. Spencer Deichman got the win with two hits, four earned runs and two strikeouts in two innings of relief.

KAYSVILLE — Davis jumped to a 9-0 lead after one inning in a four-inning victory over Weber.
Ella Nielson hit a two-run home run for Davis (19-4, 10-0 Region 1). Jewel Korth batted 4 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. Chloe Peery hit two doubles and drove in one. Cambell Christensen hit two singles and drove in three. Serena Roth went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs, and pitched a complete game with two hits and eight strikeouts.
Peyton Barker hit a double for Weber (6-16, 1-6). Emery Hayes hit a single.
BOX ELDER 15, NORTHRIDGE 0
BRIGHAM CITY — Freshman Maycie Moss pitched a one-hitter with six strikeouts to lead Box Elder to a four-inning region win over Northridge.
Kennadie Blackmer batted 3 for 3 with a home run, reached on a hit-by-pitch, and drove in seven for Box Elder (21-3, 9-1 Region 5). Madeline Jeppsen and Katelyn Oki each added three hits. Maclee Willard hit an RBI double
Maria Jimenez got the hit for Northridge (3-14, 0-11).
CLEARFIELD 9, ROY 6
CLEARFIELD — Roy took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning, then Clearfield scored seven consecutive runs to take control in a region win.
Emma Dishongh batted 3 for 3 with a triple and an RBI for Clearfield (15-5, 6-4 Region 5). Addyson Haddock went 3 for 4 and drove in three. Skylar Davis added two hits. Hannah Hensley got the win with eight hits and four strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings.
Promise Salazar hit a 3-run home run for Roy (5-13, 4-9). Madi Dedman batted 2 for 4 with a solo home run. Lorelai Sherrod went 3 for 4 with a triple and an RBI.
