Ogden Raptors beat Boise 6-3 with well-timed hitting
Reese Alexiades and Freddy Achecar each had one base hit for the Ogden Raptors on Thursday night against Boise.
They made that one hit count.
Achecar’s two-run double tied the game 2-2 in the first inning and Alexiades’ two-run single in the fifth gave Ogden a 6-3 lead, an advantage the Raptors held the rest of the way in a win over the visiting Hawks in front of 4,787 fans.
Starting pitcher Pablo Arevalo struck out seven batters in six innings with three runs allowed. Chase Stratton, Dylan Pearce and Jackson Lancaster tossed consecutive scoreless innings in closing out the game.
Josh Broughton, Pat Adams, Jesus Valdez, Brian Dansereau and Dakota Conners each had two base hits. Valdez hit a double and stole a base.
